University of Minnesota Aquatic Center

The University of Minnesota Aquatic Center opened in 1990
and continues to be one of Minnesota’s top national-caliber competition
venues. Nearly every U.S. Olympic swimmer competed at the facility during
the 1999-2000 season. Seven World Records and 32 American Records were
set there in 2000.
Aquatics International Magazine named the University of
Minnesota Aquatic Center as the U.S. pool with the “Best Special
Event Program.”
The 1999 season was the best-ever for the facility in terms
of hosting major special events.
